Study program for entrance exam preparation towards Bachelor of Design Courses at national institutes such as IIT, NIFT and NID based on pattern of UCEED / DAT entrance examination. This tutoring will cover General Ability (English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, Maths, GK, Quantitative Ability, Design Thinking) and Creative Ability/ Design Aptitude (simple object drawing, Male and female figures, colors and design basics).

Content:

General Ability:
1. Rapid English comprehension, identifying right answers from abstract and difficult reading
2. Analytical Abilities covering image reading, series, rule detection, analogies
3. English Communication refresher exam focused on verbal analogies, idioms, synonyms/ antonyms
4. General Knowledge specific to exam e.g., Indian history, polity, national movements, sports, books, world geography
5. Quantitative Ability including but not limited to number systems, time-speed, profit and loss, probability, height and distance, ratios and proportions

Creative Ability/ Design Aptitude:
1. Learn object drawing , Still-life drawing, Figure drawing, Perspective drawing, Memory Drawing
2. Human Anatomy
3.  Animantion, Characters, Comics, Doodles
4.  Learn architectural and interior drawings using prospectives.
5. Logos,Mascots
6. Form, shape, color, and texture, light and shadow.
7. Composition and visual balance.Visual perception and understanding
8. Storytelling, Storyboards and narrative
9. Metamorphosis of Design, Unconventional Uses of Design
10. Elements and Principles of Design
11. Elevations, Cross Sections , Exploded View
12. Step Drawings
13. Design thinking, concepts of expression and emotion, lateral thinking and innovation in design, presentation techniques, visual logic, story pictures and design awareness

Mediums Used: Colour pencils, shading pencils

Number of classes:  3 sessions weekly. 2 classes a week of one hour for Creative Ability, 1 class a week of two hours for General Ability

Session Days:

Creative Ability Class: Tuesday and Thursday , 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM IST
General Ability Class: Saturday, 6:00 – 7:30  PM IST

Note: – All the material listed does not need to be bought on day 1 of class, classes can be started with basic art file, pencils/ eraser. All other material can be gradually purchased and would be advised in class as every drawing proceeds.
