TOC ART FESTIVAL 2024 (Annual Award Ceremony)

Get ready for TOC Festival 2024- 25! 

TOC Art Festival is back- bigger, better and grander than last year. TOC Art Festival and Award Ceremony 2024- 2025 will be held in Gurgaon this year. Dates of display will be announced soon, the event date will likely be April 2025.

Main highlight of the event would be :  

1. 200 students will be selected from all over India for this art festival 2. 250+ artworks will be displayed  in art gallery at Ministry of Culture art gallery Apparel House in Gurugram 3. Within the artworks on display, 15 selected artworks will be auctioned to select CEOs and corporate leaders Please see below eligibility for participation, age groups, topic, award categories and submission guidelines.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:

  • Open to students of Thoughts on Canvas only
  • Size – A3, A2 and A4, but preferable would be A3. Any medium.
  • Made by the child, no 3D pasting on the artwork

AGE GROUPS:

Group A: 5 – 8 yrs Group B: 9 – 12 yrs Group C: 13 – 16 yrs Group D: 16+ onwards  

TOPIC:  

Bharat “Nayi Peedi, Nayi Soch” – art celebrating the beauty, diversity, culture, aspirations of the youth of India. Unlock your imagination and let it run wild! Mentors of TOC will guide you on how to make your portfolio professional, so that you can present in front of jury panel.

AWARD CATEGORIES:

  • Two internship opportunities for best two portfolios
  • Twenty trophies for various awards like Student of the Year, Homework Hero, MF Hussain award and others.
  • 1st, 2nd , 3rd Jury Award within all 4 student age group categories

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • 5 artworks are to be submitted online in POWERPOINT form, including classwork and homework from the entire year.
  • Powerpoint to be submitted via Google form. Its link is  available via the MAKE SUBMISSION button at bottom.
  • As a backup only, if any problem, Powerpoint of artwork can be emailed to [email protected]
  • Last date for submission of artwork for evaluation is 30th December 2024
  • List of the selected students for gallery display after jury selection will be announced on 15th January 2025, and you will be intimated via both phone and email.
  • Jury will be formed of distinguished design alumni from NIFT/ NID and well-known artists. First priority will be given to creativeness, composition and originality. Jury decision will be final.
  • We will display maximum of 2 artworks of one student.

  • When making final physical submission, ensure drawing is signed by child on right bottom corner. At the back of drawing please write child’s full name, age, parent’s full name, contact number and complete address to return the artwork.

Thoughts on Canvas Art Festival Season Four is now launched!

India’s largest and most prestigious student platform, showcasing up to 200 paintings in gallery, live auction, virtual bidding, sales in art galleries and an annual award ceremony.

Main highlights of the event will be:

  • Live auction of up to top 15 selected artworks from all submissions
  • Top 30 artworks for virtual bidding on website
  • 150 art works will be displayed in premium art gallery in Delhi/ NCR for sale
  • Annual award ceremony for student work done throughout the year

NEW this YEAR! – FIRST TIME EVER IN INDIA:

  • Virtual Auction: 30 paintings will be selected by jury and will be available for bidding on website thoughtsoncanvas.org. Open for all, bid your favorite artwork  and win!
  • Audience Poll Award: The same thirty paintings selected will also be open for audience poll, maximum voted art will get audience poll award on stage.

THEME FOR THIS YEAR:

प्रकृति के रंग, भारत के संग

Your artwork will speak for itself in art galleries and auctions. This year’s theme is straightforward so focus on creating powerful, large-sized pieces that showcase your strengths.

Create a painting on canvas inspired by:

  • Nature
  • Creatures (animals, insects, etc.)
  • Human body
  • Five elements
  • Objects with nature
  • Examples: Monuments, Attractions, Culture, Religious places, Sports, State and National Symbols of India

Group A: 5 – 8 yrs
Group B: 9 – 12 yrs

  • A jury of NIFT/NID alumni and renowned artists will judge based on creativity, composition, and originality.

  • Awards include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Runner-Up in each group.

  • Up to 30 students will receive Special Recognition awards like Student of the Year, Padma Award, and Young Artist Award.

Key Highlights of TOC Art Festival 4.0

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  1. All artworks created in the year on theme are to be compiled and submitted online in POWERPOINT form by June 30th 2026 at website, submission link will be shared closer to date. Mandatory submission for all TOC students.
  2. Results of best 200 students artworks will be announced by jury in 1st week of August 2026 on website, in Whatsapp classrooms and email intimation. Jury decision will be final.
  3. Once selected, participation fee will be Rs.2000/ – to be paid. Only selected students need to pay, and the payment link will be shared on website closer to the date.
  4. Selected artworks to be couriered to TOC Studio in Gurgaon by August 30th , address will be shared closer to date. When making physical submission, ensure drawing is signed by child on right bottom corner. At the back of drawing please write child’s full name, age, parent’s full name, contact number and complete address with pencil.
  5. Once all artworks are received, physical verification and jury results for best 30 artworks for auction will be announced on September 15th
  6. Audience poll award and virtual auction opens from 15th October
  7. Art display and sale, award ceremony and physical auction will be held on a suitable date in December 2026 at a prestigious gallery in Delhi/NCR.

EVENT DETAILS ON TOC FESTIVAL DAY:

Live Auction:

15 selected artworks will be auctioned to select CEOs and corporate leaders of NCR. 

  • The auction will be conducted by well-known auctioneer and professionally managed.
  • Parents will be intimated in advance and approval obtained before auction

Annual Award Ceremony:

  • Jury will be formed of distinguished design alumni from NIFT/ NID and well-known artists. Priority will be given to creativeness, composition and originality. Jury decision will be final.
  • Jury awards will be given for 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, 3rd Runner-Up in each group honoring exceptional talent and creativity.
  • In addition to Jury Awards, there will be up to 30 Special Recognition students of TOC for their overall achievements throughout the year, which will include prestigious trophies and awards for Student of Year, Padma Award, Young Artist Award and others. Exact recognition awards will be provided closer to the festival dates.

Art Display & Sale:

  • Upto 150+ artworks of selected students will be displayed for show and sale at a prestigious art gallery and setting in the NCR region.
  • We will display maximum of 2 artworks of one student.
